Sailing and regattas - YCMN Dunkirk With its Sailing section, the North Sea Yacht Club is bringing excitement to the coastline! Between outings in habitable sailing boats and regattas open to all, from beginners to old sea dogs, the club brings a sporting wind where technical challenges, mutual support on deck and good humor on the water come together. Affiliated with the French Sailing Federation, the YCMN participates in major local nautical events and sails hand in hand with neighboring clubs on the Dunkirk coast. Results, announcements, juicy news: everything can be found all year round in the news section of the site and in the YCMN Gazette, to stay in touch with the life of the club. Find the program here The sailing section is the ideal playground for anyone who wants to sail, improve their skills, and have fun. It is based on: regular outings in habitable sailing boats, to get out to sea as soon as possible; local and interclub regattas, to test one's sense of the wind... and team spirit; the guidance of experienced sailors, always ready to share their tips; a gentle learning of the positions on board: helm, sheets, maneuvers… everyone finds their place and enjoys it. Thanks to this dynamic, everyone improves their skills, and the sporting atmosphere remains as active as the wind on the Dunkirk harbor! Sailing for all A sports calendar adapted to the seasons Regattas and training sessions are scheduled according to weather conditions and the coastal sports calendar. A typical associative scheme includes: spring : training for cruising sailboats and first technical sailing sessions; early summer : local coastal regattas and meetings between clubs on the Opal Coast; summer : advanced training outings and navigation in the bay; End of season : friendly regatta and interclub gathering. Comment trouver la marine le Vieux Coromoran et le Yacht Club de la Mer du Nord - YCMN Dunkerque FIND THE NORTH SEA YACHT CLUB GPS coordinates: 51° 2.58' N 2° 22.37' E The port office can be reached on VHF channel 9. Access by sea After passing through the entrance channel, which happens to be the most convenient in strong breeze of all the ports between Boulogne and Zeebrugge, head into the Southeast channel. The North Sea Yacht Club, with its floating pontoons , is located to starboard at the back of the basin. Advantage : the YCMN offers excellent shelter, especially in case of bad weather from the West to Southwest. A visitor pontoon with all amenities welcomes you all year round.

Outings are scheduled according to the weather and the club's calendar, with support provided by the experts from the engine section. By joining the adventure, you will enjoy direct access to the marina, local information as fresh as a sea breeze, and an ideal meeting place for sailors to exchange ideas. Find our activities here Sea fishing at the YCMN Sea fishing is a traditional activity of the club. Members mainly practice coastal fishing from motorboats, favouring areas near Dunkirk and suitable for the tides. On the agenda: Coastal excursions depending on the season and tide times Navigation in small groups to enhance safety Sharing information on active areas, local conditions and regulations Support based on the collective experience of the members. Safety and regulations Fishermen are required to comply with the rules in force: compliant safety equipment, consultation of marine weather forecasts, knowledge of authorized areas and respect for quotas.
