Fishing competition

Several competitions are offered throughout the year.


  • Fishing at anchor for all species (at anchor; fishing by the kg of fish caught): May 2, October 24, November 7 and November 21.


  • Bass fishing on the ridges (drift fishing; longest bass): April 18, September 12, "special women" competition on September 13, October 10 and October 31.


  • Offshore drift fishing , between 12 and 15 nautical miles (drift fishing: red mullet, greater weever, turbot, rays, mackerel, bass, etc...): May 23, May 30, June 6 and July 4.


  • Sea bream fishing in offshore waters , between 12 and 15 nautical miles (wreck fishing; fishing by the kg of fish caught): September 5, September 19 and October 3.


  • Interclub challenge , which will see three clubs compete: YCMN, the Sea Wolves and the Dockers.

    In 2024, the YCMN won the trophy. Last year, the Sea Wolves took it, as they did in 2023. This year, who will win the challenge? The prize and trophy presentation will take place on June 27th at the YCMN and will be followed by a friendly gathering around a roast pig.


  • Trout fishing at Mont Noir (open to all), Saturday, July 11th. This event is offered by the motor sports section. Feel free to come and share this friendly moment with your family. Bring food for your barbecue lunch! A prize will be awarded to the angler who catches the biggest trout.


Those wishing to participate in the offshore fishing activities must register one week in advance with the section manager (Stéphane Ammeloot), subject to a contribution for fuel.
