Sailing and regattas - YCMN Dunkirk
With its Sailing section, the North Sea Yacht Club is bringing excitement to the coastline!
Between outings in habitable sailing boats and regattas open to all, from beginners to old sea dogs, the club brings a sporting wind where technical challenges, mutual support on deck and good humor on the water come together.
Affiliated with the French Sailing Federation, the YCMN participates in major local nautical events and sails hand in hand with neighboring clubs on the Dunkirk coast.
Results, announcements, juicy news: everything can be found all year round in the news section of the site and in the YCMN Gazette, to stay in touch with the life of the club.
The sailing section is the ideal playground for anyone who wants to sail, improve their skills, and have fun. It is based on:
regular outings in habitable sailing boats, to get out to sea as soon as possible;
local and interclub regattas, to test one's sense of the wind... and team spirit;
the guidance of experienced sailors, always ready to share their tips;
a gentle learning of the positions on board: helm, sheets, maneuvers… everyone finds their place and enjoys it.
Thanks to this dynamic, everyone improves their skills, and the sporting atmosphere remains as active as the wind on the Dunkirk harbor!
