Fishing and motorboating in Dunkirk
YCMN Activities

The North Sea Yacht Club is a haven for sea lovers!

From the Le Vieux Cormoran marina, our members regularly set out to fish or rev their engines along the Opal Coast.
Here, we navigate in a friendly, passionate atmosphere, always ready to share tips and experience.

Outings are scheduled according to the weather and the club's calendar, with support provided by the experts from the engine section.
By joining the adventure, you will enjoy direct access to the marina, local information as fresh as a sea breeze, and an ideal meeting place for sailors to exchange ideas.

Sea fishing at the YCMN

Sea fishing is a traditional activity of the club. Members mainly practice coastal fishing from motorboats, favouring areas near Dunkirk and suitable for the tides.

On the agenda:

  • Coastal excursions depending on the season and tide times

  • Navigation in small groups to enhance safety

  • Sharing information on active areas, local conditions and regulations

  • Support based on the collective experience of the members.

Safety and regulations

Fishermen are required to comply with the rules in force: compliant safety equipment, consultation of marine weather forecasts, knowledge of authorized areas and respect for quotas.
The fishing section regularly reminds members of these guidelines during association meetings.
